Hi,

It seems MTTPlus ver 1.0.8 is incompatible with Sunbird 1.0/b1.

Hi,

Mozilla has dropped Sunbird (in favour of the lightening extension) so I am unlikely to change that.

Have I helped you? Do you like my add-ons?
Would you consider donating to show your appreciation for my efforts?

I just downloaded a new Sunbird beta. The web page is active. Donations are still being called for. It seems Sunbird is alive and well (which is good, as I use it extensively.)

I too would love to see your wonderful extension work in Sunbird.

Read the release notes if you will not take my word for it http://www.mozilla.org/projects/calendar/releases/sunbird1.0b1.html

QUOTE:
This is the last public Sunbird release by the Calendar Project.
Users interested in the Calendar Project are encouraged to upgrade to Thunderbird 3 and Lightning 1.0 beta1.

I may enable it to be installed, but I am no going to do anything else for it any more.

FYI, I managed to get the "Minimize to Tray Plus" extension to work great on Sunbird 1.0b1 just by modifying the compatibility in the install.rdf file as suggested at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_an_add-on_to_change_its_compatibility

I know Mozilla has focused their efforts on Lightning, but the latest edition of Sunbird still works better and more simply than any other standalone calendar software I've found, and I don't want to use Thunderbird.

I don't care whether Sunbird is Mozilla-supported or not.
I cannot install Thunderbird on my PC at work, hence I am using Sunbird there, just to have my calendar available at home and work.
Why can this add-on not be made compatible regardless of what Mozilla supports?

Because every extra application supported is extra maintenance work. If the application is abandoned then supporting it just may not be worth the effort.

I think az's post might serve you better long term.
