The menu will not go away till you click something in it
rather inconvenient if you change your mind after click it
best solution:
menu goes away after clicking something other than the menu
cheap alternative:
put a cancel menu entry in the list
BTW
Ubuntu 10.04 AMD64

also could you have it display a mail envelope if there is unread mail?

I know, it is a royal pain. I don't know what to do about it though, there seems to be no way to make it work right. I have been investigating my options.

Yes would like to do that eventually too.

Have I helped you? Do you like my add-ons?

found another issue with the start up function
it includes double quotes around it
"/usr/lib/thunderbird-3.0.4/thunderbird -turbo"
should be
/usr/lib/thunderbird-3.0.4/thunderbird -turbo
BTW it does not start minimized
it displays a glitched window

Ok fixed, it was working on my computer when I tried it, should not really make a difference.

The turbo stuff is really not working too well on Linux yet.
