If your trying to work this stuff out, maybe used The web developer toolbar. It has a command for viewing the headers that a page returns. What you what here is:

header('Content-Type: text/javascript');

Have I helped you? Do you like my add-ons?

I know that one
It will not install as a gm script cause of the file extension
If this would work it would do what i want it to do
header('Content-Type: text/javascript; filename="script.user.js"');

See what the headers are for a gm script that does work and copy them. I don't use the extension (I fear the time I would end up spending on it) so I can't check.
