Hello
What about buttons "Copy to" / "Move to" that allow to copy/move email to another folder?
Is it good idea?
I was looking for it and wanted to make with Custom Buttons², but it doesn't support My Thunderbird version
Thank you

You can drag/drop onto the folder you want them in
for trash there is a on delete setting
i think you can copy/paste mail in a similar way

Drag & drop works for moving only and not for copying.

how many of these button would be reasonable to convert and use in this addon
1. http://custombuttons2.com/forum/buttons/buttons-database/datauri-generator2.html
2. http://custombuttons2.com/forum/buttons/buttons-database/duplicate-tab-button.html (may have this one already)
3. http://custombuttons2.com/forum/buttons/buttons-database/toggle-pipelining.html (about:config toggle)
4. http://custombuttons2.com/forum/buttons/buttons-database/copy-linksconvert-bbcode.html

I bet I could do number 2 and 3

@Oleg

I have added it to the list, which means it may get done eventually. But if you were looking to make it with Custom Buttons² you might like to try my system of making buttons instead. Actually one of the cool things about what I have been doing with Toolbar Buttons recently is that making my own Custom Button extension is almost the logical next step.

@az

With a little bit of work, all of them.

Have I helped you? Do you like my add-ons?
Would you consider donating to show your appreciation for my efforts?

Custom Buttons² is not working with my TB version. And about your system for doing button myself... unfortunately I'm not skills in programming.

if you can make them in cb2 you can make them in it
svn checkout http://svn.codefisher.org/svn/toolbar-buttons/trunk/ ToolbarButtons
cd ToolbarButtons
python build.py

last line makes the addon run it after making your button

windows will need programs for this to work only thing I needed for ubuntu 10.04 was
http://linux.softpedia.com/get/Programming/Libraries/pypng-46096.shtml
google "python for windows" and "svn for windows"
you may have to convert some slashes in the .py files for windows

buttons are in the data and staging folder (does not matter which you use)
put a anything.dtd file in the locale/en-US folder
base it off one of the other buttons like tb-notepad in the staging folder for a simple button

there are 2 lines in config/settings.py with "home/michael" that address will need to be changed appropriately (lines 33 and 47) (profile button will be useful) for windows you will need to double your slashes ex "c:\\users\\admin\\..."

here is the image folder
http://codefisher.org/download/pastel-svg/pastel-svg-1.3.zip
for when this post is old get it here:
http://codefisher.org/download/pastel-svg/

sample button:
http://absols-web-apps.info/junk/SampleCodefisherButton.zip
for Thunderbird
browser.js=mail.js
browser.xul=mail.xul

Putting it in the staging folder does matter, there is a setting to turn those buttons off, the reason it exists. It would not work depending on what state I left the setting by default.

@Oleg
If you can't do it that's fine, I am trying to encourage people to produce a few buttons to help me out a little, but I will add it in time anyway.

@az
I have not added those extra buttons you sent yet, I have been focusing on other things, along with the not being home most of today.

I was just using the toggle flash button and got an idea
perhaps add a middle click to re-strip flash from the page for after you click some the button can re-strip them from the page

It is a nice idea but I can't make it work, I did try a few little things, but reloading the page seems to be the easiest way.

Hi everyone,
I am french and new here.
Guys @custombuttons2 made a wonderfull button named "Reply/Forward w/Delete".
As it says, it opens the Thunderbird Compose dialog to Reply/ Reply All/ Forward email and delete the original.
It can be found here : http://custombuttons2.com/hi/forum/buttons/buttons-database/replyforward-wdelete.html

Problem : It still works but it disappears from my thunderbird very often and I have to add it again thanks to the "import a button"...

Is there a conflict with new versions of TB ?
Is there something to do ?

Thanks a lot if anyone can help.

I doubt there would be a conflict with the latest version of Toolbar Buttons. I could add it into TB, but I am not really keen on that idea.

Hi Michael

Could you add Microsoft Bing Translation service to your extension. Thanks

I have thought about adding other translation services to the extension, but that is not something I intend to do in the short term.

I would appreciate a (separate) Search Go button. I know that the net is full of people wanting to get rid of it but I would like to have one on my location bar (or another toolbar).

EDIT: And another idea: a Fit to Width button with code from this page: http://space.geocities.jp/alice0775/others.html#FitToWidth

And another idea would be a History button equalling to "Show All History" from the History menu.
