Toolbar Buttons 1.0 changes

News Feed

You have just installed Toolbar Buttons. To get started using them open the customize toolbar window by either right clicking on the toolbar and selecting customize from the pop up menu or going View then Toolbars then Customize and from the window that opens up you can drag the buttons to your toolbar.

If you want to know what each button does before you use it check the Button List. If you find that the huge amount of buttons is too many for you can create customized version with just the buttons you want. There is also the option of creating Link Buttons to add to your toolbar.

If you have questions please use the forum or check the FAQ. If you notice anything that does not work as expected please post, bug reports are what improve the extension. If you would like to contribute to the extension (translation or new buttons) see Contributing

Version 1.0

  • Full support for Firefox 4.0 and Thunderbird 3.1. Everything should work.
  • Some button were removed:
    Restart Tabbed (Firefox)
The restart button now does that by default, so since Firefox 2 support is dropped it makes no sense to keep it
    Cut, Copy and Paste (Thunderbird)
now exist everywhere needed by default so I am dropping my buttons for that.
    Not Junk (Thunderbird)
Newer versions of Thunerbird now have this by default.
  • Some button had their internal names changed. This will cause them to disapear from the toolbar and return to the customize toolbar window. This only applies to a small number of buttons. Sorry to anyone effected by this.
  • Some new buttons where added. Mainly contributed by others. For this I would like to thank az and Dennis Kadioglu.
    • Popup Blocker Button (Dennis Kadioglu).
    • Clear Search bar (az).
    • Resize Search bar (az) (3 buttons).
    • Twitter (Facebook and youtube will be next).
  • The icon set was changed, it is now using my own. Any feedback is welcome. Though please note the larger icons (the 24x24 size) still need some editing to finish them off. Currently they don't appear nice and sharp like the smaller icons do.
  • In addition to the above there are lots of little extra features and improvements have been added to the buttons.

I would like to thank everyone who reported bugs, and suggested ideas while I worked though creating this release. In particular az deserves a special thanks.
