Why can't I get it to work in sunbird?

Because you have not got MinimizeToTray upon which this extension depends installed. As of the writing of this FAQ it only supports 0.2 to 0.3.1 offically, since the 0.5 is the current is not likely you have the 0.3 installed. The solution and unofficial bumped version that you can download.

Why does it keep flashing between the tray and full screen?
